By adopting a meerkat or sulcata tortoise at Tropical World, you are helping to fund the upkeep of our meerkats and contributing to the vital conservation projects that we support.

Adoption pack
Our adoption pack includes:
- a certificate
- meerkat or sulcata tortoise cuddly toy
- tote bag
- fact sheet
- notebook and pencil
- your name on our adoption board and an admission ticket to Tropical World *
Your adoption fee contributes towards the animals here at Tropical World, with 10% being donated directly to our conservation projects both locally and across the world.
Adoption for 12 months is £30.
*One free admission ticket per adoption pack purchase, equivalent to either an adult or child ticket. Please specify at time of purchase. Ticket cannot be exchanged.

Sulcata tortoise experience
This keeper-led experience will get you up-close and personal with our Sulcata tortoises, learning all about their natural habitat, diet and individual traits.
You’ll start your experience by meeting at our animal experience check-in at the Tropical World shop, where you will be given your high-vis experience vests, you will then be led to the enclosure where you will receive a full safety briefing by your personal Tropical World Keeper.
Then, the fun really begins…
Our resident Sulcata tortoises, will be ready and waiting to meet you and maybe even enjoy a tasty snack!
Your dedicated keeper will share fascinating facts about the Sulcata tortoise and will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
The experience is available at 10.30am, from Wednesday to Sunday.
The cost is £70 for two people and includes General Admission to Tropical World.

- Sensible closed cap footwear suitable for adverse ground conditions must be worn.
- Minimum participation age 8, one child per adult.
